December Community Day 2023 Guide

Pokémon GO December Community Day is a bumper weekend of Pokémon from the 2023 Community Days spawning in the wild, and 2022 Community Pokémon in eggs, timed research and raids! Check out the spawns, exclusive moves, egg hatches and raids taking place during this event below.

Features

Throughout the event, Pokémon featured in Community Day events in 2023 will appear more frequently in the wild and as reward encounters for Timed Research.

Pokémon featured in Community Day events throughout 2022 will hatch from Eggs and appear in raids and as reward encounters for Timed Research.

Showcases

Be on the lookout for Showcases at different PokéStops during the event where you can enter Pokémon featured in Community Day events in 2023.

Featured Pokémon

A different set of Pokémon will be featured on each event day—Saturday, December 16, 2023, and Sunday, December 17, 2023—from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. The Pokémon that appear during this time will have the same chance of appearing as a Shiny Pokémon as those that appeared during their original Community Days. Outside of these times, any of the featured Pokémon may appear from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. local time on either Saturday or Sunday!

We would suggest checking your storage for any Pokémon you want to evolve during the weekend and renaming them to make them easy to find! Unless otherwise stated, the moves below are Charged Attacks, usually only available by Elite TM.

This does not include Ursaluna who has special rules. Full moon will be in the sky from 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 16, 2023, to 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, December 17, 2023, and from 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 17, 2023, to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 17, 2023.

Conclusion

Prep is key when it comes to December Community Day Weekend events! Go through your storage and check if you have any good IV Pokémon you need to evolve, or PvP IV Pokémon that the move will help. Rename them and get them evolved on Friday if possible, so your weekend can be left for shiny hunting and only needing to check and evolve newly caught Pokémon.

There are some great moves here, like Tyranitar with Smack Down for PvE, and the starter Pokémon are always improved by their Community Day moves. Plus, there are plenty of Pokémon here with Mega Evolutions!

With Community Day moves remember you can always TM them away, but to get them back you need an Elite TM, so if you aren’t sure, go for the evolution and look into it afterwards.
