This Week in Pokémon GO: 18-24 December 2023

Dive into an action-packed week in Pokémon GO starting December 18th! Get into the Season of Timeless Travels, and learn more about the Hisui region. Get hyped, holiday season is here which is always a great time in Pokémon GO.

The Holiday season kicks off with the Winter Holiday: Part One event, with Cetoddle, the Terra Whale Pokémon.

Enjoy a weekend long Winter Wonderland adventure, and Wyrdeer makes their debut in Pokémon via a special raid day!

At the start of each month in the Season of Timeless Travels, Trainers will be able to purchase a new ticketed experience for the Egg-spedition ticket that includes bonuses and Timed Research!

But that’s not all – battle enthusiasts can gear up for the GO Battle League Season 17, while raiders prepare for epic confrontations with Kyurem, the Boundary Pokémon, who stars in tier 5 raids this week. Regigas will takeover from Kyurem later in the week.

And keep your eyes peeled for the elusive Shiny Shadow Zapdos! There’s a plethora of adventures waiting, so trainers, gear up and set out!

Winter Holiday Event: Part One

Cetoddle makes their debut in Part One of the Winter Holiday Event 2023, along with a new holiday themed Pikachu, and plenty of research!

Winter Wonderland Event and Wyrdeer Raid Day

Wyrdeer makes their debut in Pokémon GO with a special raid day on 23rd December 2023! It has an increased shiny rate and the remote raid pass limit will be raised to 10.

Experience the Winter Wonderland event during the weekend of December 23rd and 24th, from 10:00 a.m. Saturday to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, with a whole host of collection challenges and more!

Vanillite is the December featured Pokémon! Vanillite may appear as a Shiny Pokémon for the first time in Pokémon GO!

Timeless Travels: Eggs-pedition Access

Provision for the travels ahead! At the start of each month in the Season of Timeless Travels, Trainers will be able to purchase a new ticketed experience that includes bonuses and Timed Research! Throughout Pokémon GO: Timeless Travels, you’ll be able to come across Pokémon found in the Hisui region, and stock up on items like Incubators. Be sure to check out the in-game shop regularly, you never know what wares and wonders you may find. The first is the Egg-spedition ticket for December, with a free single use incubator every day!

GO Battle League Season 17

GO Battle League: Timeless Travels will start on Friday, December 1, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. PT.

The following will occur at the beginning of the Season:

End-of-Season rewards will be available on the battle screen.
Your GO Battle League rank will be reset.
Rank-up requirements will remain the same as the prior
Season.

Tuesday December 19th 6pm till 7pm local time we have Snorunt as the featured Pokémon for spotlight hour, along with 2x XP for evolving Pokémon.

From December 23 – Jan 1 Mega Glalie will appear in Mega Raids.

Kyurem

From December 16 to 23 Kyurem will appear in five-star raids, and can be shiny.

Regigigas

From December 23 to January 1 Regigigas will appear in five-star raids, and it can be shiny.

Shadow Raids

One-star and three-star Shadow Raids will be available daily, while five-star Shadow Raids will take place on Saturdays and Sundays, unless otherwise noted. Also, Shadow Moltres will swoop into five-star Shadow Raids during Timeless Travels!

The following bonuses are specific to Season 13: Timeless Travels.

Trainers level 31 and above will receive one guaranteed Candy XL when trading Pokémon.

One additional Candy when trading Pokémon

Trainers level 31 and above will have a higher chance to receive Rare Candy XL from in-person five-star raids.

Increased XP for a seven-day PokéStop spin streak.

Research

Season of Adventures Abound Research Breakthrough

From December 1, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT -7) to March 1, 2024, at 1:00 p.m.

Complete Field Research tasks during the whole season to earn an encounter from a pool of Pokémon, including Galarian Weezing, Galarian Mr. Mime, Lapas, Furfrou, Goomy and Jangmo-o.

Season of Timeless Travels Field Research Tasks
